Virtus.pro come back against OG to win Flashpoint 2
After dropping Mirage 10-16, the bears took Train and Inferno behind a 1.57-rated series from PashaBMW to claim the title and the $500,000 first prize.

Virtus.pro are the champions of Flashpoint 2 after a 2-1 win over OG in the grand final, taking home the $500,000 first prize. The title is the bears' second in the space of two months, following IEM New York CIS in October, and it was built, once again, around Pavel "PashaBMW" Tishchenko.
The 18-year-old finished the series 85-48 with 114.8 ADR and a 1.57 rating, the best of any player in the final.

OG made the stronger start. The international side won ten of the fifteen rounds on the T side of Mirage and closed the map out 16-10, with only PashaBMW (24-19) and Dzhami "Jame" Ali finishing it in the green for Virtus.pro. Issa "ISSAA" Murad led OG with 24-17.
From there, the final belonged to Virtus.pro. They edged an 8-7 T half on Train and conceded just two rounds after the switch to win 16-9, with PashaBMW going 34-12 for a 2.06 rating, the best single-map performance of the event. Inferno was tighter: a 9-6 CT half, a second half in which OG pulled back to 13-11, and a 16-12 finish, with Jame chipping in with 27-15 next to PashaBMW's 27-17.

The final was a rematch of the Group C decider two weeks earlier, which OG had won 2-1 after Virtus.pro took Mirage and then lost Inferno and Dust2 by identical 9-16 scorelines. That defeat sent the bears into the playoffs from second place in the group.
"After the group stage we knew OG would be in the final," PashaBMW said after the trophy lift. "We lost Inferno to them two weeks ago, so today it was a little bit personal. On Train we just played our own game, and on Inferno everybody stayed calm at the end."

In the playoffs, the bears survived a 19-17 overtime decider on Train against MAD Lions, beat BIG 2-1 in a series in which PashaBMW put up a 1.73 rating, and then came from behind against fnatic in the upper bracket final to book their place in the decider.
