Volna confirm talks with PashaBMW
The Kazakh organization says it is negotiating a return for the rifler who left the team in December 2024, but stresses that no agreement has been reached.
Volna have confirmed that they are in talks with Pavel "PashaBMW" Tishchenko about a return to the team, a day after HLTV reported that the Kazakh organization was one of two parties interested in the free agent.
"We can confirm that we are in discussions with Pavel," general manager Askar Nurgaliyev told HLTV. "We have stayed in contact with him since he left, and we have always said that the door is open. Nothing is signed yet, and we will only announce our plans for the team when everything is agreed with all sides."
Volna have not played an official match since November 2024, when they lost the Winline Insight Season 6 grand final to 9 Pandas. The organization held open tryouts for the fifth spot in early 2025 but never announced a replacement for PashaBMW, and the remaining four players from the lineup that won YaLLa Compass 2024 are still under contract.
PashaBMW averaged a 1.34 rating over 254 maps in two years with Volna, winning seven titles and two MVP medals with the team.
The second party in the talks, a European organization that has not yet announced a lineup, had not responded to HLTV's request for comment at the time of writing.
